Sidequests

Sidequests are fun tasks given to us to do in order to earn extra classcraft points. As for me I ended up doing two out of five of the given sidequests.

Sidequest 3- Imagination and creativity

When I first heard this music, I thought of it as a music piece that would be played before the occurence of war, so I included some dull coloured paint and a mark making technique where I used a sponge brush and some  black ink

When I listened to this music piece, it gave me such a relaxing and  comforting vibe, so because of that, I wanted to incorporate it in the art. With my eyes closed, I imagined a scene at dawn with a girl swinging right above a yellow field so I tried to recreate what I imagined. I used watercolour pencils and gold pentel poster colour.

This music piece by Brian Eno sets such a depressing vibe because of the low notes, the tone of his voice and how the piano is being played. I gathered my poster colours and watercolour pencils  and painted on the spot. Listening to the music, I just let everything out without stopping and ended up with a dull piece of art work.

Sidequest 4- Pressed flower poetry page

I was mostly excited to do this sidequest simply because I wanted to try it out. I searched the house and found old, dried up flowers , plucked some out and quickly pressed them in a thick book. After weeks have passed when I finally had the time, I started composing my poetry using ink. Since I didn't have a thin brush, I invested in one and tried it out with ink. I wanted the paper to have some texture so I cut up some tracing paper to write the poem on, let it out to dry and pasted it on the blank piece of paper. After that was done, all I was left to do was to stick on my flowers. In the end, I really liked how to poetry turned out.
