Plane and void is basically an architecture element where we study further into lines. A plane is an extended line in a direction other than its intrinsic direction which includes length and width, but no depth. It is known that the properties of a plane includes the surface color, pattern, and texture.

We started off by choosing some pictures of interiors and labelling them to get familiarised with the basic points of plane and void.

Sketches
We had to choose a close-up of black and white city map from a specific country. As for me, I chose a map from New York City! Our lecturer instructed us to highlight an area of the map where we want the city to be placed on. I highlighted 3 different areas.
Moving on from highlighting the areas, we moved on to sketching our city shape and form based on the shape of the city that has been highlighted. I tried sketching our a few ideas on what I wanted my city to look like.
