Andd we're back after a long semester break. This semester, we were introduced to a new subject called Contextual Studies which is a study of different kinds of theories as well as  . As for art and design, this subject would mainly cover and focus on the theoretical aspects of art in all its forms. Not only would we learn about the art itself, but also about things involved such as the time in which it was created.

We were recently given a lecture on some historical artists that all began in the Western countries as well as some popular techniques that were used to create the different types of artworks that were being produced at the time.

Art movements is considered a must for us students to learn and recap in CTX mainly because it can be really helpful in understanding the different types of art that existed for a long time as well as art that is being produced today. Learning this I would say is a starting point for us to learn before we begin our first assignment which is an essay based on a specific film that we like where we state in depth information  about our movie and how the specific art movement influences the film.
