So what is "Expressionism"?, it is basically a modernist art movement that took place in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. This art movement is mostly incorporated  into artworks as well as poetry. The art movement has extended to a wide range of the arts, including expressionist architecture, painting, literature, theatre, dance, film and music.  

The main idea of expressionism is that it presents the world from a subjective perspective, artworks were produced with emotional effects in order to evoke moods or ideas. Expressionist artists created pieces of artwork that deeply expresses emotional experiences in artworks rather than physical reality.
