Emotional space
Repetition and Rhythm is the repeat of line, color, shape, texture or value. This tends to unify the total effect of a work of art as well as the creation of RHYTHM. We study how repetition tends to duplicate from a form. There are a lot of different rhythms such as Regular, which duplicates a pattern over and over again, Flowing, which shows repeated elements such as bends and curves and Progressive.

Our task was to choose our rhythm and select a picture with that rhythm. I ended up going with the regular rhythm because I had an idea in my head in advance so I decided to do just that. We were also asked to choose a specific emotion that we wanted our emotional space to be based on, so I went with 'Sadness'.
The outcome
I thought closely into what i wanted the design to be like. In my head, I pictured different heights, dull colours and texture. Whenever i think about sadness, I think about dark, gloomy clouds, so I added that to the background. I cut out some felt and grey paper to add to the up-down pieces to create a colour scheme which screams darkness and sadness.
The term, ‘sadness’ refers to the worst feeling ever. In a world of grey, black and white, the feeling of Isolation takes over the space, separating human beings from one another, creating an atmosphere of dark and depressing shadows .
