Assignment 3 - Final Proposal Presentation ( Round 2 )
+ Reflection
Now onto round 2! After a week of sleepless nights and discussions, we managed to come up with a totally different story which in my opinion, satisfies us more compared to the previous slides. The process of coming up with a whole new story was extremely time consuming and stressful because we only had a week to sit down and rethink of a new idea that is far from our previous ideas as we do not want to make a video that is somewhat similar to what our seniors did.
Our video will be based on a life lesson that will be taught throughout the video. We wanted to do something simple, but has a deep meaning behind it which should reach out to people, especially young teens who tends to lie. The group members and I ended up being more pleased with our current slides because it is something different and not too generic which is what we aimed for the moment we discussed. I do hope that our final video will turn out great according to my expectations

For our second assignment, we were separated into groups to create a final proposal to present in class. As for my group, we came up with an idea involving masks which portrays the character, not being herself, and instead, she changes herself completely just to fit in with others. I found this idea different because out of everything that we could think of, we went with an object as the main focus which is the mask itself. In my honest opinion, our presentation wasn’t the best, I was utterly upset with myself for not being as prepared as I thought I would. I was excited about our idea and especially the process of getting this video filmed, but unfortunately, an idea involving a mask has been taken by a senior so because of that, the team and I agreed for a round 2 for the proposal planning, changing the idea completely.
Round 2 was tough at the starting point because we couldn’t seem to develop any good and interesting ideas, but we slowly begun to come up with bits of ideas here and there. As we got our final idea, we were stocked about it because It was way different from our first idea, which is good and it managed to set a real-life example that goes on in reality, which is about lying. Recapping our two ideas, I found myself liking the second one a lot more as it is unique and different, but relatable at the same time. I would say that based on our idea, the outcome would turn our great, because we are indeed doing something that we have never done before.
As for the other groups, I observed that a lot of them had come up with interesting ideas that I think would turn out great in the actual video that they will develop. Some of them connected to both surrealism and expressionism which is what I am looking forward to see, which is their take on the art movement itself.
